Changing Client Types From Individual to Minor or Individuals to Couple and Vice Versa

Changing Individual to Minor Profile

Step 1: Navigate to the client’s profile and open Profile and Clinicians.

Step 2: Locate the Type field. Click on Type to open the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Select the new client type, such as switching from individual to minor.

Step 4: Assign a guardian to the minor profile. Choose an existing guardian or add a new one. Select if this guardian is responsible for billing.

Step 5: Save the changes. The client now appears as a minor profile.

Step 6: Check the Info and Settings to confirm the parent or guardian is listed. Add the relationship and address as needed.

Changing to a Couple Profile

Step 1: Select the two client profiles you want to link as a couple.

Step 2: Go to Profile and Clinicians for either client.

Step 3: Change the profile type to Couple by choosing an existing client as the partner or adding a new one.

Step 4: Save your changes. Both clients now display as a couple profile, showing linked partner details.

Step 5: View the client list to see the new couple profile along with individual profiles for each client if needed. Inside client file you will see a dropdown on top right, to switch between couple and individual profile as per need.

Converting Profiles Back (Vice Versa)

Step 1: If you need to switch a client from minor or couple back to an individual profile, go to their Profile and Clinicians section.

Step 2: Click Type and select Individual. Choose which profile to keep if prompted.

Step 3: Save your changes. The client now displays as an individual profile again. Similarly it works for couples. We decouple the profiles by disabling the couple profile, while preserving the individual profiles.

Managing your client profiles is simple and flexible. Update types as your client relationships change—whether they become minors, form couples, or need to return to individual status. This keeps your records organized and accurate.
